Solve : flash problems?

Answer»

I’m not sure if this is the correct place to ask for help, but I am having problems with Java and Internet Explorer.

Flash was running fine on IE, until one day I got a prompt telling me there was a newer version avail.,
So I installed the newest version, well something must have gone wrong, my browser no longer works if its on a website that requires FLASH.

I have also upgraded JAVA

JAVA is enabled in Internet Explorer

Could I have my Internet options mis-configured?

I have followed the INSTRUCTIONS provided by Adobe to get this program FUNCTIONING but it will not work.

I have un-installed flash from the control panel and re-installed using the Adobe website, still nothing

Is there a way to un-install IE8 and install a fresh IE7?

I hope someone can help me with my problem, thanks in advance.
Flash and Javascript is usually the required combination, you don't need Java to VIEW sites that require Flashplayer (Java is not the same thing as Javascript).

Download the Flash uninstaller and the latest version of Flash as standalone download. Close your browser (very important), run the uninstaller, then run the installer. You may need to reboot afterwards.

Flash uninstaller; http://kb.adobe.com/selfservice/viewContent.do?externalId=tn_14157
Flash for Internet Explorer; http://filehippo.com/download_flashplayer_ie/

Check Javascript is working; http://www.bom.gov.au/weather/radar/faq/clickme.shtmlI have followed the directions, it did not work. I take classes online some of the lectures require flash, I had to DROP the class. I was able to OPEN it one day then a few days later it would not open. any ideas? The directions include clicking on the index, I noticed it is in firefox.
What i would recommend is the browser Opera it works really well on my 2000 and it does a lot of things that firefox wont do. And it works a lot better with the new flash.
Hope this helps.Name one thing...Yeah....
