Solve : FlashGet download manager problems?

Answer»

This issue happens regardless of whether I used FlashGet manager or basically any other download manager such as Download Direct, Free Download Manager etc etc. Well what I did was to copy the URL of a certain web page ___link removed ___ and CLICK the Add button on the FlashGet download manager and paste the URL at the box which ask for URL. And after pasting I click download but instead of downloading the file which is suppose to be 252Mb big I only download some file(which I have no IDEA what it is) which are only a few kb/s in size.

Can anyone explain to me what is going on? ThanksQuote from: tkh9917 on September 22, 2011, 02:53:16 AM

First of all, I have noticed that the link that you have provided involves copyright infringement, more specifically of a PSP game. Moderators, this site is the source of the above link: _____
I will therefore only provide my experience with FlashGet and nothing more.

I have used FlashGet in the past. It is absolutely horrible-it deleted all my downloads once, had this corrupted cache issue, and worst of all, had zip, zero, nada improvement in download speeds.

The developers claim their "MHT" acceleration technology accelerates your download speed. However, it has caused me to download files which are totally different from the file I want to download. They should improve by using MD5 Hashes-what they are doing to match up files is probably as ineffective as matching file names, which obviously will not work.

"Flashget can increase download speed from 6-10 times. It USES MHT (Multi-server Hyper-threading Transportation) TECHNIQUE"
From their website.
