Answer» Hi all, I am a new member to this sight so hello to everybody. i am having trouble loading my Tom Tom sat nav onto my PC, which is operating on Windows XP When I go into 'My Computer' and click on the relevant drive it tells me " The disk in drive J is not formatted. Do you WANT to format it now?" I thought that when a disk was formatted it deleted all the data on it. As you have all probably worked worked out by now i am not very good on computers so any help would be very much appreciated. Thanking you all in anticipation DaveWhat is "drive J"? Is it your satnav memory card? Or are you plugging the satnav in via a USB lead? Have you looked at the second drive letter? You don't want to format. thanks for your reply. Yes I have tried the support site but upto now they have not been able to sort me out. Could you please tell me that if i should click on 'format disc' will it erase the data or is it just reading the INFO on it

Unless you have plenty of money to throw around by going to buy a new sat nav.Thanks a lot for your time, some how i knew you were going to say that.
