Solve : found new hardware?

I'm running windows XP. Every time my computer boots up the found new hardware comes up to install or update DRIVERS. Everythings all ready  install. Even the hard drive. What can I do to resolve this coming up everytime?

If it doesn't click next and should say something like Multimedia VIDEO Device or the name of you piece of harware.What ever the device is(cd,usb,dvd drive ) can't be found. I have tried updating . But what is the name of the device?they are numbers I think one of them is  hard drive , sony dvd/rw,LG RW/DVD.
I've even tryed restore . still comes up !!!!
Find the Sony in device manager...right clik it and select "Un-install"...
Re-boot.
It will automatically be re-installed.tryed thatIt's not a HDD...it's an OPTICAL drive.
Power down and unplug either the data or power cable.
Power up and remove it again in device manager.
Then power down and re-connect it.still comes up
do u have a printer or something? (thats HOOKED up to ur computer)all my usb ports work fine with other devices,camera,printer .eg
