Answer» Quote from: Carbon Dudeoxide on February 28, 2010, 09:11:58 AM "Hey Greg, does infranview take screenshots?" No irfanview is an excellent free image editor. When we press the "PrintScreen" key the image is placed on the Clipboard. We can then paste to Paint, Irfanview or another image editor and save the image as we would any other picture. p.s.: The clipboard is a special storage area in RAM. The image remains on the clipboard unitl replaced with a different image or the computer is shutdown. Use Irfanview. You will like it.Quote from: greg on February 28, 2010, 10:01:06 AM No irfanview is an excellent free image editor. Your missing the point The OP did not ask for any sort of imaging software, he ASKED how to 'capture' screen images.Quote from: Mulreay on February 28, 2010, 10:12:58 AM Anyway, Infranview is a vector image editor which is completely pointless here.Your profile says your using WINDOWS 7. If so you have it built in (besides the prt sc button) with Snipping Tool. C:\Windows\system32\SnippingTool.exe Windows 7 features, Snipping Tool. http://windows.microsoft.com/en-US/windows7/products/features/snipping-toolYes - as soon as SOYBEAN posted about it - I checked it out. It's very useful, and simple to use and EDIT with. I suspect it may be exactly what I was unnecessarily looking for. Win 7 probably has a number of other useful features I'm unaware of - but I'm going to check it out right away. Thanks.Actually... The snipping tool isn't new to Windows 7... it's in my Vista Install. (I just ENCOUNTERED it in my Start menu search while looking for something else). I'm not sure what edition it requires though- It might be ultimate only. Just thought I'd mention that... I didn't realize it was in Vista.I have it in my version as well... Vista home premium.Where are the files? [Saving space, attachment deleted by admin] |
