Answer» Does there exist - anywhere out there - a Free Download for software that will convert a PDF file to be opened in Word Office??? The file was created in Open Office (which is no longer on the computer) and was saved to Word.....but it can not be opened in Word! HELP! (I don't want to create any fancy PDF's - I just want to open the old Open Office stuff!A PDF file can be opened with the free and most widely used Adobe READER or with Foxit Reader (which I recommend). Check the Software FAQ for details. Hope this helps.And there are dozens of converter programs out there...ALTHOUGH not free they have a trial period which should give you enough time.Here's a freeware program which apparently will do it. I've heard of it before and THOUGHT it was only designed to create PDF files from Word documents, etc, but, after looking at http://www.pdf995.com/download.html again, I see they also say it will Convert PDF to HTML and Word DOC.
