Answer» I have a older laptop with ntfs format 5 gig drive running xp profesional. no partitions and unistalled most of the big programs, I have less than one gig of memory, how do I improve my free memory?? I beleive your right my proceesor probaly doesn't make the GRADE for xp, not sure of the ram size either but does have a 5 gig hard drive and beleive xp requires at least 2 gig.Post the specs when you find out...an older OS might be a good choice.will do THANKS Patio!!!I was also thinking of reformatting and making it fat32 filesystem???That will actually use more space under XP and Win2K so i don't see it as a good alternative...ok thanks again!!
