Solve : Ghostery?

Answer»

Just read an article about it in local newspaper. SEEMS like a good way to prevent 3rd party tracking of your internet browsing. Anyone use it? Pros/cons? Thanks. What you named is an add-on or extension to a browser.
It is a proprietary thing made by one key individual. Which would make it undesirable for many users who prefer Open-Source.

Thanks. The article did mention the "double-edge" of this software. Ie, you can BLOCK tracking but your info can still be sold by the software owner to 3rd parties. I wonder how Ghostery warranted a half-page article in a Sunday newspaper? Talk about free advertising....
