Answer» i am running xp professional / SP3 on a refurbished system. while checking out "my COMPUTER", i found "global.sw2" and "softwrap" in "shared documents". windows could not open them, couldn't find a program to open them,does not recognize them. i searched for them on yahoo search but couldn't find MUCH information. i deleted them to the recycle bin. what are they and are they detrimental to my system? how do i find a program to open them? You did the RIGHT thing. Those files are not important and maybe connected with some kind of 'ad-ware'. There are not listed as very harmfull. Do you donwload games? They may have COME with a game package of some kind.
