Solve : GMail Drive shell extension 1.0.13 installation. xp IE8?

I am TRYING to install the above shell extension but it stops during installation and stays on "Windows is now setting up the following items : GMAIL DRIVE SHELL EXTENSION"
I have INSTALLED it on my netbook without any PROBLEMS.

(both laptop and netbook USE xp IE8)
Can anyone help.
