Answer» Hey all,
So I'm not sure if this is the right place to post this but here it goes. So I have this hard drive that I need to transfer the data from, but I can't get any OS to recognize it. I've tried Windows, Nopix and linux. The only thing so far that sees it is a boot-able version of Ghost. Now the HDD also has Nortons Goback on it which I have heard causes some issues with Ghost and my first ATTEMPT to use ghost on it has failed. A message comes up and says it has found some BAD sectors and says would you like to take it sector by sector. I choose that option and then Ghost freezes up. Not sure if there is any fix or if the HDD is done for. If anyone has any INFO that would help it would be appreciated. Hope I gave enough info on the problem to be at least a little insightful.
Thanks for your time Sonnysounds like you have norton SYSTEM works cdrom disk if you have use disk doctor.....who will scan for bad blocks sectors......The Ghost disk I have is an ISO transfered to a floppy, although I have a Hiren's disk with Disk Doctor on it. I will give that a try. Thanks for the TIP. Should have thought of that before
Thanks again Sonny
