Solve : Going from Windows 2000 to Windows 7? |

Answer» I didn't know if this should go under software or hardware. I have a fairly recent machine I built using an Asus P5N-E SLI MOBO and I kept Windows 2000 because I had no problems with it. I'm now building a new machine on an Asus P7H55-M PRO board and I'm putting Windows 7 64-bit on it. I'd like to transfer my email PROFILES and other settings from FIREFOX, Thunderbird and move other programs I use often. Would it be easier to use something like Laplink PCMover or just put my old HDD in temporarily and try to transfer the settings and programs by hand? I figured I would have to reinstall the programs but I was wondering if there was an easy way to transfer the settings, like license info and such.
