Solve : Good Hard Drive Monitor?

Answer»

Ahoy fellas!     Can any one guide me to a program that will give me reliable information with regard to the state of my hard drives plz??   Take a look at http://pcsupport.about.com/od/toolsofthetrade/tp/tophddiag.htm   I think I would try one from the manufacturer of my hard drive. No.
If you mean something beyond what the manufacturer provides, no.
Otherwise, look at Western DIGITAL or Seagate web sites.

Why do you ask?
Have you already used the tools built in to Windows?
Was something wrong?
The most frequent cause of computer failures is operator error.

This month is a hard drive crash month. My hard drives at work and home crashed at the same time this month.
Anyways, you can use something like hdtune to check S.M.A.R.T. Status and temperature of hard drive. Quote from: soybean on December 12, 2013, 09:10:08 AM

I agree here with you mate.  Problem is I have Samsung AND Western Digital drives in my machine.  The Samsung connection on the lead you gave here did not take me to the application however???

I wouldn't mind that gizmo if I can get it bud.    Quote from: Geek-9pm on December 12, 2013, 10:02:33 AM

Nothing is wrong bud, I just like to keep a check on my drives as much as I can is all.     I had one crash on me not so long ago and it is a scary experience I can tell you!

About Western Digital Diagnostics. I think it will test other drives in your system if one drive is a WD.

I may not be coming so often now though, as I have got rid of the Computer build that as giving me all the trouble.   I have now got a new build complete with all bells and whistles, so I expect a largely trouble free future1 (Said he opening his big mouth!) LOL  We are confident you  will
