Solve : Guys, I really need help with this? |
|
Answer» So i've been POSTING a couple different topics here for the last week, and haven't really solved anything but this is a new issue and very very imporant so i could use some help, as i cant figure it out...... no i didnt........i just copied the program folders and my documents and settings folder to a hard drive and flash drive..... i thought i would be able to just drag and drop those folders into the apprpriate spots after reinstalling windowsI don't believe that would save your address book. You would have needed to specifically copy or backup Windows Address Book (.wab) file before you did a clean install of windows xp.but wouldnt all of that be copied to the hard and flash drives anyway, without specifically backing up.....i mean the daqta is there to begin with...DEPENDS on how you backed it up...i believe the address book may be in a different directory. Run search on the USB's for *.wabi dont think it saved it either, what you did is like trying to open a program short cut on another COMPUTER that doesnt have the program, meaning you pretty much took a picture for lack of better terms of how it looked and nothing came along with it, hopefully you follow me........good luckyeah, thats what i've been thinking too......i was just hoping there was a magic back door to get to it.... thanks for all the replies guys.
