Answer» I have tried the Windows 7 Forum to find an answer to my question.
Disk Management, under View, Top, Disk LIST, shows my 3 disks TYPE as 'UNKNOWN'. One is a Seagate 32oGb, the other 2 are WD 1Tbx6Gb/s disks. Can anyone help? I have tried all the uptodate drivers I can find. btw: The Motherboard is an Asus P6X58D-E with the latest BIOS of '0803'. The PC runs OK.
Any/all help appreciated, Hard drives do not require drivers...
Right clik each HDD and select Properties...post back with your findings... Also a brief history on these drives and what they were used for etc.Hello patio,
Thank you for a very quick reply.
Hope this is what you wanted to see?
C:\ Drive, Windows 7.
WDC WD10 02FAEX-00Z3A0 SCSI Disk Device. Driver File Details. C:\Windowsa\system32\DRIVERS\disk.sys C:\Windows\system32\DRIVERS\fltsrv.sys C:\Windows\System32\drivers\partmgr.sys
WDC WD10 EZRX-00A8LB0 SCSI Disk Device D:\ E:\ F:\ used as Backup 3 Partitions.
ST3320620AS ATA Device G:\ Used for Games, Overclocking Software.
All disks show Driver File Details the same.
Perhaps I worry over nothing or worry too much. I am just curious and I have not noticed this before.1) Can you post a screenshot of disk management?
2) Are you having any specific problems with your system?Allan,
No problems SINCE Restore. Several months AGO I downloaded a photo program and noticed when going through 'Paint' and posting upon Windows 7 forum, this program had a "Windows 'WARNING' on/in it. Since seeing this that is when I 'Restored' the PC back. Hope this helps? Please do not get me wrong. I have greatest of repect for all the EXPERTS at Windows 7 Forum.
