Solve : Hard Drive Installation?

I've tried to install a new hard drive and device manager says that it is working and installed propperly but there is no icon for it in My Computer.

How do i go from here to using it?Have you ACTIVATED it?

Right click on My Computer -> Disk MANAGEMENT.

That's valid for Windows XP, DONOT know about other OS.Casimir Creer...Is this HD a replacement for an existing drive or is it a SECOND drive on the machine?
Has it been formatted ? What operating system are you using ?
