I think we can define hard drive activity to mean some read/write activity is taking place. So, that should normally not be happening all the time. I realize that I can look at mt CPU to see the flashing light, varying in intensity according to the activity. That's been the case since my 386/sx16 What I WANT is a ON SCREEN monitor so I don't have to get down under my desk and open the cabinet every time I wish to check. Also that doesn't address the volatile memory ( RAM ) monitor either.
