Answer» When upgrading a Dell C600 to 512MB of RAM, am i removing the 256RAM chip already in there and adding ONE 512 chip or am I adding another 256RAM chip to the mother board, which means there will be 2/256RAM chips installed?
Your HELP is greatly appreciated. From what I read on various sites you will need 2 X 256. 512 is the maximum for your system. So if you already have (1) 256MB chip then you need 1 more, if you have (2) 128MB chips then you need (2) 256MB chips. I don't see a 512 MB chip for the system.
check out that the ramsticks are the same make.. info if needed...here>http://www.kingston.com/tools/umg/default.asp
