i NEED help with my cd-rom drive itworked like 2 days AGO but now it dosent! when i put any type of cd in it it says there is not one there EVEN though i just put one in. do any of you know what i might do to FIX it?What have you done in order for this problem to occur?the only things i did before it stoped working was i installed a spyware remover and ran a defragmenterAre there any important files that may have been removed by the spyware scanner? Could you check either your log or your quarantine files?

  • Have you checked cabling?
  • Have you tested different CD-ROM players on your system?
  • Have you tested the CD-ROM player in question on another system?
Breeanne.......What spyware software did you install?
Have you looked in your DEVICE manager to see if your cd - rom is disabled ?
Or ....do you mean that the cd drive doesnt show as having a cd in it ?
What operating system are you using ?
