Hi, I need help on my PowerColor ATI radeon 9550 (256 mb) Everything was just fine when I updated my Driver to Catalyst 7.7 from 7.5, after a few days with the new driver i was playing counter strike 1.6 and had some fps flickering it went to 60 to 99 really fast and it was getting very irratating. I thought it was counter strike but Iv tried playing other games like NFS carbon and the game play was getting choppy for some REASON. I have Scan for Viruses with Nod32 and some Spyware with Spyware Doctor. This choppy frame rate is also effecting my internet surfing. When I am tying it is become very choppy. Now it does not have a steady Frame rate at all. It is getting choppy Please i need help, Iv tried reinstalling drivers but good

  ROLL back the driver to 7.5...new drivers are not always better drivers...Can you help me find the older driver links for my radeon 9550?, the catalyst 7.5?
i found one on ATI where theres a list of older catalyst drivers but I DONT know how to install them, they have 3 parts and i'm kinda lost
Btw how will i know if it will be the right catalyst for my graphic cardDo you still have the CD that shipped with the card ? ?
If so use those.yes i do but the drivers in the CD dont give me benfit, catalyst 6.5 gives my the worst performance for my card.

I'V downloaded the older driver, 7.5 but it kinda fixed the stuttering problem, i still get it when i open the game again and again. my graphic card works its best when i first start up my computer with no problems at all
