Solve : Help can't uninstall Program from add & Remove programs?

Answer»

I have an HP desktop with windows XP home edition.I've tried to uninstall  James Bond 007 Nightfire from add & remove programs, but it won't uninstall.I've found the file on computer in program files, but how do I make it uninstall from my programs?
Thanks,What happens when you try to uninstall it?
Also, try Revo: http://www.revouninstaller.com/Hi Broni.when I try to uninstall it,a message comes up that the file can't be opened.I haven't tried the program you suggested yet.
Thanks,Try to reinstall the program and then uninstall it. If it still doesn't appear in ADD/REMOVE it may not install through the registry, in which case you can just delete the program folder. It is in the add and remove programs, and I don't have the James Bond program any longer. Is there any other way to uninstall this program besides through the add and remove programs.
Thanks,Look in the program folder. There may be a file named "uninstall.exe" or "unwise.exe. If either of those files exists, double-click it. But you can try revouninstaller as Broni suggested. There is also a chance, Add\Remove entry is just orphaned leftover.
As ADG said, see, if you have James Bond folder in Program Files.
You have plenty of options now.Yes Broni the James Bond 007 is in program files. What NEXT??
Thanks,We gave you some options, and we asked some questions.
Does James Bond folder exist in Program Files folder? Does it have any files? If so, can you see something like "uninst.exe", or "unwise.exe"?
Did you try Revo?
We can't do this for you.Well I fully understand that any of you can't do this for me,and I already TOLD you that James Bond is in program files with other files pertaining to it.No I haven't tried the Revo yet,as I haven't had time, but will get back to you as soon as I do.Just got back from the dentist, and reading this thread I feel as though I'm still there  Hahahaha....Hey guys,I just installed the Revouninstaller ,and you guys were right,it removed the James Bond 007 from my pc.Thanks to all that has helped, and I would recomend this installer to all who has problems in add and remove programs.I need to ask one other QUESTION,would it be ok to remove all Java past updates and keep the new ones?
Thanks, guys ,you have been very helpful. Very well

Regarding Java...yes.

Please download JavaRa to your desktop and unzip it to its own folder

  • Run JavaRa.exe, pick the language of your choice and click Select. Then click Remove Older Versions.
  • Accept any prompts.
  • Open JavaRa.exe again and select Search For Updates.
  • Select Update Using Sun Java's Website then click Search and click on the Open Webpage button. Download and install the latest Java Runtime Environment (JRE) version for your computer.
Note 1: UNCHECK any pre-checked toolbar and/or software offered with the Java update. The pre-checked toolbars/software are not part of the Java update.

Note 2: The Java Quick Starter (JQS.exe) adds a service to improve the initial startup time of Java applets and applications. If you don't want to run another extra service, go to Start > Control Panel > Java > Advanced > Miscellaneous and uncheck the box for Java Quick Starter. Click OK and restart your computer.

Ok,will do and thanks again for your help.
Thanks,
