Solve : Help! I think I screwed up my registry and can't logon now!?

I was TRYING to delete a pesky spyware program on my laptop and was following instructions to delete the registry keys but I think I must have deleted something I shouldn't have and now (after entering my password) my computer just logs itself right back off after logging on. Of course, I have no registry backup...

Is there any HOPE at all?

It is a Dell LATITUDE laptop running XP.Can you STILL get on via Safe Mode?If you can't get into Safe Mode like Carbon suggests, pop the XP cd you GOT with the laptop in and run a recovery.

Done research,and found the only way that worked 100% of the time was to just wipe the laptop and re-install your OS.

But of corse try boot in safe mode,and do a recovery first,because then you won't loss everything saved on your laptop like i did Quote
