It cleans up temporary FILES, internet history and unused registry ENTRIES. And unlike many other registry cleaners it doesn't MESS up your registry in the process. Just remember to untick the Yahoo Toolbar during installation, you don't need that. We also have a guide on how to set it up. Configuring CCleaner But yeah many of these PC speed up programs are completely bogus. Take RAM cleaners or BOOSTERS for example. If you use anything newer than Windows ME you don't need one. The memory management in newer versions of Windows is perfectly capable of CLEARING unused RAM by it self.
