Answer» Last night a thunderstorm was GOING, it wasn't to bad so I decided too keep my computer on. Thunder ended up knocking out our power and shutting down my computer. I tried to turn it back on and it came to this "repair screen" before even GETTING to the password screen. I did the repair and it had me send some sort of message. I try to GET on my computer again and it says "run windows normally" along with safe mode and all the other stuff. I run it normally and the screen just stays BLACK, where the password screen should be. I can only see my white cursor. I am using windows vista home edition 32 bit. Any help would be GREATLY appreciated. Thx.Can you start in safe mode?no Can you just explain exactly what is happening from the moment you switch on to when it goes black.Unplug the PC and flip the on/off switch a few times on the PSU...if it's a quality unit this will re-set it.
