Solve : help with a missing .dll file?

As you can see I am a new user to this forum and I would like to thank all of you prior to your posts for your time. I have an old PENTIUM 2 laptop that I inherited from a friend. When my kids attempt to play some of our older games such as worms 2 or age of empires the programs wont START up and RESPOND with this message, "A required .DLL file, ADVA.DLL, was not found." Any help that you can offer would be appreciated.Is this a new installation of Windows 98?

You may wish to reformat the HDD and reinstall Windows 98 to eliminate all problems CAUSED by the previous user.If all else fails that is what i was planing on doing  :-/
