Answer» Hello! I bought a DvD that Uses Hi-Fi Stereo for sound I think.. I get the picture but no Audio why is this? I have Windows XP PRO..Some details are always helpful. See below.Computer stats: INTEL (R) Pentium(R) D CPU 3.00Hz 2.99 GHz, 1.00 GB RAM (Drives)Optiarc DVD+-RW ND-3570A (Display Adapters) NVIDIA GeForce 7900 GS -about 256MB memory- (Sound controllers) Audio Codecs, CREATIVE SB X-Fi, Legacy Audio Drivers, Legacy Video Capture Devices, Media Control Devices, Video Codecs (System General) Microsoft Windows XP Pro, Media Center Edition Version 2002 Problem restated - I bought a CD that uses Hi-Fi Stereo I get the video but I cannot hear the sound.Have you checked in Control Panel/Sounds and Multimedia to see if the appropiate devices are enabled ? ? Speakers hooked up properly ? ? Does the SB card have a mixer device in it's software ? ?WIll headphones not WORK? Where would I look to see if my sound card has a mixer? in Control Panel usually.
