I have recently been having a lot of pop-ups on my computer even though I have a pop-up blocker. The only reason that i can come up for this problem is the programs "Home Search Assistent", "SearchExtender" and "Shopping Wizard" that were somehow installed on my computer. I can't uninstall SearchExtender and Shopping Wizard.When I click to remove them from the Add/Remove Programs window, they all come up with this:

I have tried running Ad-aware, Spybot and McAfee Virus Scan but the programs are still there. Is there anyway to unistall these programs because they are not only CAUSING unwanted pop-ups but also causing my IE browser to crash?

sorry i had to put it in so many posts but it was to long for one.bubbles335....try rebooting into safe mode and then try to remove them.........if they wont let you find the filethey are residing in ...open it and manually delete the contents one at a time eventually you will be rid of it....

They will explain how to read your hijackthis log......Unfortunately I do not have the time now to examine each one of your entries ( and thats what is necessary ) I just mentioned the R0 and R1 entries as they jumped right out at me .........there are others which need to be marked for removal as well but as I said earlier I dont have the time now to review your entire log......just follow the directions and check every item ...and if its listed or you dont recognize it mark it for removal........
