Solve : How can i end password protected apps??

Answer»

I have this software i need to close but in order to close it i need to put a password.... and i have no idea whatsoever...
I obviously cant close it in windows task manager and also tried this app called Process Explorer... couldn`t KILL the thing.. Calling all pc experts to help me bypass this annoying problem.. tnxs Hi, I am a complete novice, but what I WOULD try is,  if I knew the date I installed it I would do a "SYSTEM restore" to a date just prior to it.

I am not saying it would work, but that is what I would try first, because I once installed a programme that caused me problems, and could not uninstall it, and that is howq I got rid of itDon't do a system restore unless its the absolute last thing that you can do. Don't do a system restore unless its the absolute last thing that you can do.

System RESTORE not system RECOVERY. System restore is a built in feature of windows. System RECOVERY is usually done with a included CD which wipes everything to factory defaults.

There is no reason to be wary of System Restore functionality. I dont need to uninstall it... just end the process... tnxsI wonder what this process is called.....or what computer you're on for that matter....well its my computer and the process is trend micro's TMBMSRV.exe.. the thing is.. i created a password and i totally forgot.. what a looser    have you tried uninstalling/reinstalling?

chances are it will ask you for the password there too, though.Do you have a link for the program that includes this process ? ?
I don't know of any Trend Micro Apps that require a password to shut them down...Edit: After reading reply #11, I feel that I should not have posted my solution.  I have removed my solution for that reason.  I am sorry for any trouble I MIGHT have caused.Melitica, why do you want to terminate it anyways?Because its blocking my sites... and i think im way past that stage of my LIFE...

That last solution from Kip helped.... Tnxs guys
