Solve : How do i remove a program thats dosent show up in controll panel??

Answer»

I downloaded a demo version of a game called blockland. I want to uninstall it but it dosent show up in controll panel's uninstall program list. Is there a way to uninstall it? Its still installed on my computer. Seems a lot of people are having this very same issue with Blockland. I tried searching for how to uninstall it and just came up with a lot of people saying they can't get it uninstalled, but there we no answers.

So, to start with, try CONTACTING their Technical Support. You will find a tech support email on this page:

See what they say, if they even reply, and if you need more help come on back and let us know what they told you (or didn't tell you) and we'll go from there. why don't you check the Program Files, if its folder is there simply delete it. then you can use CCleaner to do the rest. this software will clean all the other files that are related to the game. hope i help. Better if they see the company's recommendation before doing this.CCleaner has a program uninstaller (under Tools) that can be used in lieu of Windows ADD or Remove Programs panel. I believe CCleaner will sometimes show programs that Windows Add or Remove Programs panel does not show. If so, you can use CCleaner uninstaller to remove the program. Again, I'm talking about a program uininstaller, not using CCleaner's hard drive cleanup tools after you've deleted a Program folder via Windows Explorer. If CCleaner's uninstaller does not show the program, follow quaxo's advice. You may want to post your question here: http://www.blockland.us/smf/index.php/

Caution, many users are not advanced enough for this option. Click start,
run, type in "REGEDIT" (w/o the quotes), Look for HKEY LOCAL MACHINE, click
the + sign, scroll down to software, then microsoft, then windows, scroll to
current version, scroll down to uninstall, click the + sign and check to see if
the program you're trying to uninstall is still listed, if so, right click and delete
it. Note: It is important to backup your REGISTRY 1st by going to the top of the
Registry and click file to export to My Documents or a folder of your choice. If
you're not comfortable with this reply, by all means, avoid my response, be-
cause you may cause all kinds of complications with your operating system.Quote

This is ill advice. The procedure listed above removes only entry in Add\Remove, not program itself.
Playing with registry may be dangerous, so please, do not advice registry solution, when you're not sure what you're talking about. On top of that Exporting the Registry is indeed ill advice as not all system entries are included when using this method.....and they're kinda the important ones.

BTW just curious why you address yourself when you start every post...Quote
