Solve : How to Backup Drivers??

Answer»

I want at least to backup my internet driver so i can update my computer and stuff?

I'm formatting my computer because my dual monitor drivers is ''screwed up''
Im just tired of trying to fix it and might as well just reformat it.Just go to the website of your hardware manufacturers (or computer manufacturer) and download all the drivers you need and save them to usb drive or cd. Don't forget the chipset driver.http://www.makeuseof.com/tag/backup-your-drivers-with-driverbackup-2-windows/

Although installing the latest and greatest drivers is always best as Allan suggests, I have for example an old Pentium 4 2.0Ghz eMachine motherboard that use to be a Celeron 2.0Ghz socket 478 which has an integrated graphics driver for Windows XP Pro which is hard to come by. Windows wants to give it a generic 800x600 resolution driver, and the specific OLD driver that I found after hours of digging gives it the 1024x768 res that I need.

In addition to ghosting this system, I also used a tool called Driver Backup 2 which was free that allowed me to backup all drivers. Since then this tool also has come in handy with an old Toshiba Laptop Portege with 500Mhz P3 with graphics driver as well. So if your looking for a utility to backup all working drivers to push all known working drivers to a system after rebuild (without hardware changes ) this tool is great! In addition on the laptops I ran GoBack from an old Norton System Works package I bought years ago so that I could test out newer drivers and system changes and if it lead to disaster or slowing down of system, I could revert the system back to the prior drivers and configurations.Whoa - I never said installing the latest drivers is a good idea. On the contrary, drivers should only be updated if and when there is a specific need or reason to do so.Sorry Allan ... I took it that

meant latest and greatest drivers. Since hardware manufacturers who have good support for their products generally have a revision or two before no longer supporting updates to hardware. Sorry about the loss of interpretation Well yes, if you're going to download drivers then you should download the latest. But there are folks who always want to update to the newest release for all of their drivers - and as often as not their next stop is a support forum

As a general rule, drivers should only be updated if the new driver offers a bug fix or a specific new function or support that is needed by the user. This is truly a case of "if it ain't broke......"By "making a backup of internet drivers" i think your interest is in the drivers of your modem(s) through which you are connecting to internet.
If you are using LAN wire for internet connecting -> No need for driver backup
If you are using any mobile/Dongle device to connect -> No need for driver backup cause you already got the drivers in form of your setup files with your mobile/dongle.

In other cases there is a software "Driver Genius". You can use this to backup your drivers. Use torrents to download this software.
Hope this will help.
