Answer» how do u CHANGE the NAME of a driver? for example: DEVICE=C:\CD-ROM\MITSUMI.SYS /D:MTMIDE01 to DEVICE=C:\CD-ROM\MITSUMI.SYS /D:MTMIDE000036 because i cannot install a game as the name of my cd rom (as my computer reads it) is CD1, and the name overlaps with a file in the game CD1.ifo, which causes problems when installing. i understand that the change can easily be MADE in config.sys and autoexec.bat but i am using windows xp, how do u do it?The below website seems to be what your hunting. http://www.annoyances.org/exec/forum/winxp/t1029933781Wonder if the advice helped you any. :-?
