Solve : Hyperlink query?

Answer»

Hi,

Whenever i click on an hyperlink in MS Word 2003 it gives me an warning:

"Hyperlinks can be harmful to yoru computer and data. To protect your computer, click only those hyperlinks from trusted source. Do you want to continue?"

Followed by a "Yes" & "No" option.

From where can i remove this dialog/warning from coming.

ThanksSee >this< Microsoft knowledgebase article.Thanks a lot,

Can you SOLVE my ONE more problem.
On an another machine the links are not opening at all. Says

"The operation has been canceled due to restrictions in effect on this cmputer. Please contact your system adiministrator."

I am the administrator. 8-)Possibly this is a broken file associations problem. Try downloading and running >this< registry patch. (Just SAVE it then double-click it, and answer "Yes/Ok".)Will definetly give a go and keep you updated. Great!

It worked.

But how. That reg file updated keys relation to IE.
And i was opening a hyperling in MS Word.

How are these 2 related. :-?Word/Windows needs to know which program to USE to open up a hyperlink. You just recreated that knowledge. But with that hyperlink i was not opening a html file.

I created a link to a file.
Then itself it was not opening.

Opening a file via a link in Word, how does this relate to IE.If the format of the link (which you may not be able to see) is file:// then, like http:// that is the kind of transaction that can be mediated by your internet browser.

But who cares, if it works? Quote

This line might be helpful.

I was just trying to figure out what was the problem.

Thanks a lot BUDDY. 8-)
