[recovering disk space - old attachment deleted by admin]Rho, 17th LETTER of Greek alphabet. In Unicode, the upper and lower case are encoded at U+03A1 and U+03C1 respectively. In MS Word symbol inserter, choose Basic Greek. Works for me in Arial
and Times New Roman.

thanks "Salmon Trout"

I post "Rho" in "Times New Roman" and "Arial" fonts, Respectively.
see this photo; that I get it form "Dynamics FIBER Formation and Processing", page 79, Eq 3.95
here is the "Rho" and that letter in my first post. they aren't alike.

I need to type this letter. please help...

Greek Rho Symbol:
ϱ

there SEEM to be three (at least) characters- a small letter Rho, a capital letter rho, and the symbol. It is the symbol you are trying to create.

according to character map, it's U+03F1. You can find it by using character map, I was able to use the "search" feature to search for "Rho"- the character in question was one of the results.

thanks everyone
but i have problem yet. I search for "Rho", and the result is "P" and "Rho", in Greek.
also, no font can change the shape of this symbol, to that symbol in my first post.

please check photos in my second post. there is an equation that containing both "Rho" and the symbol.
the symbol is LOOK like "Rho" but it isn't.
