Solve : I can't import .avi files to Windows Movie Maker?

I used to work fine with it,
but suddenly, it began to not work;;

Could somebody please EXPLAIN the possible reason and tell me the according soluiton for
why I cannot import .avi files to Windows MOVIE MAKER anymore?

Or you could TRY the K-Lite Mega codec pack - This will allow yu to play alot more types of video
