Solve : I can't read DVD-R discs on my TS-H652L?

Answer»

Hi,

I need some help because I don't know what's really the problem. I purchased an HP Pavilion m7670 two weeks ago. It's CD/DVD driver works good with original movie DVDs and CDs of all sorts (original / burned). But when I try to put a DVDR on it, it keeps reading it (the light on the driver goes on and off) but Windows does not read it. (I recently noticed that it can read a DVD-RW disc).

The driver is a TSSTcorp CD/DVDW TS-H652L.

Does anyone know why is this happening? Is anyone having the same problem?

Thanks a lot in advance.

Albert.

P.S.: Forgive me for my ENGLISH, it's not my first (nor second) language...What's on this DVDR disk ? ?Quote

What's on this DVDR disk ? ?

It does not matter, I've TRIED with burned data discs and burned video discs.

Btw, I tried it with another RW and it does not read it.That's why i asked what's on it...if it didn't read in another drive it's possible it wasn't burned correctly.

You could try INSTALLING ISOBuster and see.

I can read all the DVDs I tried in my other computer.

I'll try ISOBuster and see

thanks patio!

EDIT: What should I do with IsoBuster? When I run it and insert de DVD, the program freezes while the drive is "reading" the disc, until I open the tray.Be patient and let it read for awhile....still sounds LIKE a defective disk for WHATEVER reason...
