how come when you unzip a file you can unzip it time and time again ? the file sort of acts like a storage unit, you can go unzip. i moved a few files and it messed them up. i went to the one that was zipped and it unzipped again. why?
what do you reommend you do with the zipped file?
Yes, both take up disk space, although ZIP files usually take up a bit less because the files are compressed.
Whether or not you keep the ZIP file after you take files from it is up to you. The ZIP file is really no longer needed. The only reason you'd need to keep the original ZIP is for archive/backup purposes in case the files you TOOK out become corrupted or lost.

This depends on what you're dealing with.
.exe's and APPLICATIONS cannot be compressed much. (100kb down to 95kb maybe)
.zip archives are also useful when you are transferring multiple files over the internet so the user only NEEDS to download one.
