Answer» i have a windstream router, and to make a long story short, i need to know if there is something out there i can download for it. as it's not supported by my laptop. i've a compaq presario RUNNING vista HOME premium. Is it a wireless router? Are you trying to connect WIRELESSLY with your laptop? Is Windstream your ISP? And, they provided the router with your DSL SERVICE?Instead of connecting the router to your laptop via USB, why not try the Ethernet connection?Where did he say anything about USB?He didn't say anything about a USB... I was thinking modem and typed router. Since when is a router not supported by an operating system? It may be the modem that's not supported, if it's connected via USB. Sorry for jumping the gun... I will back out, soybean, and let you have at it...
