Answer» I have zone alarm installed on my computer. I am trying g to remove it because I recently purchased Kapersky 2010. When I go to control panel, add remove programs, and uninstall, it appears to work. I then open up the C drive and all the files are still there. I also TRIED to remove it with the ccleaner tool, and PC decrapifier, which also did not work. When I try to just delete the files manually, I get a pop up that tells me I need administrator privileges to delete the file. I'm the only user on this computer and I am logged in as administrator.
I went to zone alarms web site. They instructed me to boot up in safe mode and delete as many files as I can. I want to delete all the files not just some of them. I am afraid I am going to have to delete this program through the registry. If that is the case I was WONDERING if someone would like to guide me through it. Unless you know of some magic program that will rip these files out.
Thank you in advance Try Revo uninstaller http://www.revouninstaller.com/revo_uninstaller_free_download.htmlZA Removal Tool...I used the Revo Uninstaller first and it took out some but not all. I then used the ZA removal tool that Patio recommended and that finished it off. Between the two I think we got the job done.
The problem that I have now is no internet connectivity. I do an ipconfig /all and no IP, no default gateway, and no MAC. Like I don't have my NIC installed. I go to device manager and the NIC card does not have an red X or yellow exclamation point. Device status is working properly. I also tried ipconfig /release and ipconfig /renew with no success . Do you guy have any ideas on this one? I know that this is another forum but we started here.
