ok Ill try and give a run down of what happened and what i have here.

2x300 GIG sata2 maxtors in raid0 in nforce4 mobo on ports 3/4 using 2 partitions 60 gig o/s partition and remainder for storage

I tried to install norton system works on my system, during the install there was a problem and the program uninstalled and linked me to support.

I decided to try and install it once more but it said i recently installed or uninstalled and i needed to reboot to install again, which I did.

Upon rebooting norton goback halts the system with a gb_(error)

If i hold down f8 to try and enter safe mode i get a boot selector not the safe mode select screen

for some reason I thought id have to fix the master boot record. so I enter recovery console do a fixmbr and reboot. still get system hang when it gets to the norton goback screen

I then go to see if i can install windows and it LOOKS like my partitions are gone and windows now sees the raid as one big drive.

I load into recovery console do another fixmbr with a fixboot and a checkdsk /f. checkdisk hangs at 50%.

I reboot, don't see norton goback screen get to load windows screen but it crashes. reboot i get to select safemode/last know configuration screen. I try both options but windows crashes.

I went to see if windows installer sees 2 partitions again, but it still sees 1 big one.

How do i get it to see both partitions again, and if i do this will it fix my problem?

oh it looks like the chkdsk /r didnt hand at 50 its just took a long time @ that point, got it at 54% now when i tried it again. The last 4% prob took 10-15 minsWhy dont you format the computer it seem you have some error

Maybe you need to forget about using it with your hardware configuration.I dont wanna format cause ill lose all my data

I gotta find out a way to recover lost partions, as the OS is seeing it as 1 big drive.
