Solve : I've lost the SOUND from some of my video files!!!? |
|
Answer» In the last several weeks I've been having two problems with a few of my video clips: (1) Some of my video clips have lost their AUDIO. (2) Some of my other video clips no longer play. With these I can only drag the progress bar to see individual frames. I also get a pop up from the player that says, "The enumerator has become invalid." I've had all of these videos for at least a year, and have all played fine, until now. I use Windows Media Player 10 for all my video clips. My computer runs XP. Any HELP would be extremely appreciated. I had anomolies similair to yours before that I still can't explain. I believe these anomolies show themselves when I made significant changes to my system like; adding a new anti-virus or malware program or big changes througout your O/S. Has that ocurred? Example; my daughter recieved an mp3 player that requires wmp v10 in operation while I already had wmp v11 installed. I had to ROLL back the version. It worked according to the instructions (help I got from the good people in this forum), a few or more video's (older ones) decided to stop playing also. I've never had it explained to me why. I can't even re e-mail them back to me as I get widows notes of an inability. If it is important, try going to a restore POINT more then two weeks ago. MICROSOFT itself has a forum with some of there tech pros that specifically answer media player questions. I don't have the link with me now but the site isn't difficult to find.
