Answer» hi, was wondering which was better to run?? IE or Firefox.... If I install firefox and I have probs with it am I able to uninstall it and go back to IE??? was wondering which was better to run?? IE or FirefoxI would say , that is up to the user , I have both IE 6 and Firefox installed and both work just fine ......... My personal preferance is IE 6 ..... now after SAYING that , there are a lot of people who dont like IE6 for various resons ........ Usually they will say it wont do this or that ....... When checking out the real reason...... it will usually turn out that they have been playing around with differant settings or have been trying tweaking options . you know the senario...they are trying to reinvent the wheel........ In the end .......the only person it really matters to is the user ...so go with the browser you like the best . Also keep in mind that there are certain things that you require IE 6 for. Also you dont have to remove one browser to install another ........ dl65 i personally use firefox alot, just because i believe its faster, more secure, and has a tab feature, so u dont have a whole bunch of items on ur taskbar. however, there are some websites that u can only access USING IE 6, such as microsoft's update site. also, (CORRECT me if im wrong) firefox cant stream media from websites that stream using windows media player. (or at least it wont for me)i used firefox before- there is "bug" (ctrl+c and ctrl+v) that until now FF cant find a solution that why i switched to OPERA (maybe give it a try) IE6- as homer said, some website only in IE can be access or click in this link so you can check side by side "battle of the browser betas" http://reviews.cnet.com/4520-3514_7-6512217-1.html?tag=fea_txt Hey, just quoting what Homer said about the streaming problem he has i think this is just him. I can stream perectly well with FF. [ch268][ch293]rî[ch347]I used Firefox but when the new update installed it stoped working.. i go on firefox and it says that the Server cannot be found and etc.. just like IE6 Page cannot be displayed but I now use.. IE6 just because forefox doesnt repond.. i already contacted the makers of firefox and they told me that this is the first time they saw this.. im using wirelerss internet and inly internet explorer works.. not netscape not AOL axplrer nothing.. only IE6.. id ont know what is GOING on.. but yeah.. I used to use Firefox because it was more secure safer to sruf.. FASTER than IE6 and also it has the tabbing feature that is cool and IE6 desont have that...i guess im missing a plugin or sumthin for that streaming problem... *EDIT* nevermind about the streaming problem it works. i just checked it. |
