Answer» I would like to know how to put an image link in my signature in Microsoft Outlook. Does anyone know how? Or does anyone know of a forum that specializes in Outlook help?Do you mean put an actual image in your signature, or just a "link"? What version of Outlook are you using?
I'm looking at Outlook 2007 and I just put an image in a signature.I am using Outlook 2003.
My goal is to put an image in my signature, but have the image clickable so that it links to another page, in other words, an image hyperlink. Do you know if that's possible?Yes, it's possible but not simple. It's much EASIER with Outlook 2007. For Outlook 2003, see this reference on inserting an image: http://email.about.com/od/outlooktips/qt/et081706.htm
Once you get the image installed, you need to edit the signature file and add some HTML code to make the image a hyperlink. You can edit the file using Notepad. Here's a reference showing HTML code to make an image a hyperlink: http://www.w3schools.com/html/tryit.asp?filename=tryhtml_imglink
You'll probably find your signature file is this location: C:\Documents and Settings\username\Application Data\Microsoft
Substitute your actual Win XP user ACCOUNT name for username in that path to the signature file. I am having trouble with your instructions.
I got the image copied into my signature.
However, I am confused about where the html coding goes.
Am I supposed to copy and paste that entire SCRIPT into my signature?
Do I STILL need to insert the images before-hand or do I use the html coding to insert them?OK, let's take this ONE step at a time. Let's see if your signature(s) are located in C:\Documents and Settings\yourusername\Application Data\Microsoft\Signatures.
If you have Win XP installed on other than C drive, change the drive letter in the above path, as appropriate. Do you see the name of your signature file there? It will have file extension .htm.Yes, my signature is saved there.Quote from: soybean on November 06, 2008, 10:39:06 AM Once you get the image installed, you need to edit the signature file and add some HTML code to make the image a hyperlink.
