Solve : IMAP Mailbox - Outlook 2003?

Answer»

So I've been using Outlook 2003 to access my AOL (IMAP) for years.

Computer DIED - I saved my "Application Data - MSFT - Outlook" directory and LOADED onto new computer.

However, my "Sent Items" archive is not in there. Outlook HAD kept a copy of every message I'd sent over the last three years. (AOL does NOT keep a copy).

I did a search for *.PST (which is what I remember from my Outlook Express days) - nothin'.

Before IT erases my old machine, any idea what file(s) may have that info stored? Thanks!

rjbThe default file for all Outlook items is Outlook.pstThere are no files on the machine with the extension .pst

Outlook Express does not use .PST; it stores messages in .dbx files.

Yes - all "hidden" files unhidden before search.

Which are like sands through the hourglass. (And I guess I remembered the wrong thing).

I booted the machine in Linux and copied the entire "Application Data" folder from the old machine onto a disc and copied that onto my new machine.

So, again:

IMAP
Outlook 2003
Win XP
...name and location of the archive?

ThanksRead this: Where is my Outlook "PST" file located?Awesome. The LINK totally solved it.

It's in "Local Settings" not "Application Data".

What's weird is - it STILL doesn't show up on "Search", but if I go to that folder, it's there. Must be something tricky with IMAP - a hidden character or something?
