Solve : In MS Paint, my paint window (with all of the selections) has disappeared.?

Answer»

My four year old somehow made the frame around my MS Paint window disappear (Including the tools buttons and sliders) and I can't FIGURE out how to bring it back. Anyone have any ideas?Try this. Go to Control Panel, Add or Remove Programs, and click on the button on the left side of the panel, titled Add/Remove Windows Components. Select Accessories and Utilities, and click on Details (button). Select Accessories and click on Details. Uncheck Paint and click OK. Close these panels, going back to Control Panel. Then, reverse the procedure, adding Paint back to your system.

Did that work?Quote from: bioed on November 03, 2007, 09:09:45 PM

I don't know if Paint has changed much - using Win98 here - , but attached is a screen capture of Paint here.

If the three CHECK marks shown are un-checked, it causes Paint to look much like you've described.

Are they On or Off in yours?

[getting disk space - attachment deleted by admin]Thank you to both of you! We appreciate your suggestions. As he read them, an idea that was related, but not exactly suggested came to my husband. We checked Toolbox under View and the small box appeared. He clicked on the blue band at the top and drug it past the screen on the left side. The window reappeared as it should have been. He remarked that he didn't know why it didn't occur to him before since you can switch the location of the task bar in a similar way.
