Solve : Indexing software?

I would like to find some software that RUNS on the Windows that indexes internet web PAGES.
I used to use SamSpade... but it kept crashing on me.

I am looking for something that can (specifically) filter different addresses (that it can find a HTTP:// and not include an HTTPS:// but may include a FILE:// )

ANYONE know of ANYTHING?

I dont need something that operates server-side (the last time I tried to build a server, it crashed)
