Solve : inserting an mp3 to a word program then to email? |
|
Answer» Hi, I'm NEW to all this My wife has a lengthy story she's writing on Word 2013, wants to include both images and original(ours) music and then email the whole thing to various people. Images she got from Internet and inserted where she wanted went OK. She wants only parts of these songs she wants to place at various places, ones we inserted into Word like I did the images. Problem is 1. I can't just copy to an email because neither the pix or music showed up. I have tried her gmail or my yahoo , but neither worked. 2 Then I tried putting this all on Google Docs, not much familiar with. I did get the pictures to show up there, but when I then copied to an email, but songs wouldn't open there(nor had they in Docs) 3.Also tried attaching all this, but from M Word I got a msg "this file does not have an app associated with it" From Google Docs I tried attaching but it won't open after sending to email. ?? I have tried to find YT's on doing this, but nothing is exactly like what I'm doing. I did try copying the music file from Win Media Player ( where I export them from Audacity) directly onto the Google Doc, which looked a little different(the first looked like icons you click on) and I could place in the story where I wanted but it still didn't play. I'd like to know how to get the mp3 files, which are not links, to be able to play when you click on them, and then play in the email. I noticed unlike Word, where you can use Insert, Google Docs doesn't have a place to attach a music file, at least from what I can tell. I can get the files to play in Word, but as I said, they won't open in an email. Hope that makes sense. Again these are original songs only. Thanks! PS She wants these mp3 files to go specific places in the text of the story, right next to the subject she's talking about. OS Version: MICROSOFT Windows 10 Pro, 64 bit Processor: AMD A6-5200 Total Physical RAM: 4 GBHi I would use the PUBLISH as PDF this keeps all the content of the document as a single file. To do this First, open the document you want to save to PDF. When you're ready to save it to PDF, click File on the top left side of your Word 2013 window. Now in the window that comes up, click Export. Under Export, make sure Create PDF/XPS Document is selected, and then click the Create PDF/XPS button on the right.Well, I did that, but as I suspected, the music wont' play when I click on the mp3 file in PDF. The cursor has the same reaction as clicking on text,. nothing. The pix look fine. I have been going through other suggestions as to how to get that to WORK, but most go into a technical explanation about you used to be able to do this through Acrobat, but that isn't supported anymore. I appreciate your help, do you have any other ideas? RKTry to make it in PowerPointwell SINCE my last post, I am now trying the free trial version of acrobat pro. I have made some progress. that is I did their add sound part, which once I added the music it plays once where I selected, but then when I go to play it again, nothing happens. There's an arrow to click on. I keep clicking then it goes into advanced settings, and I've tried every possibility there to no avail. If I could just get this straightened out I would be home free. Still a lot of work in text editing back in a Word, etc. but I could at least see the light at the end of the tunnel.. Thanks. |
