i have an old laptop given by my friend, but he removed the old hard DISK, i buy new hard disk and install new OS windows XP professional SP II but my problem now is: i DONT have any installer for other devices like, sound, ethernet controller, PCI model etc... so i dont have sound and i can't connect to the internet.. anyone can help...>>

MBoard chipset drivers get installed FIRST.there's no model as the same as my laptop..Please post the make and model and serial number. [attachment deleted by admin]You need to connect to the web on another machine....re-visit the Acer site ....enter your Model #...DLoad the chipset drivers...save them to a USB flash drive....then connect the flash drive to your Acer and install the chipset drivers.i already install the chipset driver and it was successfully installed, do i have to try another chipset driver for this device? if chipset driver has been successfully installed and windows says device is working properly and there is no yellow triangle next to the thing in the device manager window, you don't need to try another one.i try again to install the chipset and try also the other chipset driver, but does't work...
