Answer» Hello, 5)What else is on this hard drive and what is it you are trying to accomplish ? ?Quote from: patio on September 26, 2008, 03:47:41 PM Quote5)What else is on this hard drive and what is it you are trying to accomplish ? ? I just want to run DOS with CD-ROM support from my Bootable CD/Floppy on my PC I cant do it because any drivers won't install on DOS... and this problem I have only when I bought new mainboard.First you don't have DOS...you have the repair console from WinME...that CD would probably have to be re-created on your new hardware to work... Second if you don't have DOS you cannot run DOS...what you have been running is simply the command prompt bootable utilities from ME. My last question is still unclear....what exactly is it you need to do from (DOS) there may be other ways...Ok i try to re-create but i think that dont fix problem with my drivers installation... yep may I dont have but may i dont need becasue I want only cdrom support on this ME repair console. Its all working on this hardware only dont want to load this drivers for cdrom, drivers for mouse etc and another programs working too. PM me your email and i send you my cd image. Quote My last question is still unclear....what exactly is it you need to do from (DOS) there may be other ways...So please tell me any way to load from CD DOS-prompt/ME repair console with CD-ROM support... I wanna to run any program what is burn on this CD like Partition Tool or Norton Commander but I'm sure that it must be when I want to run it not automaticly from autoexec.bat (I have programmed my own program on Pascal to do it and it must read programs from this CD becasue 1.44mb is not much to put all in bootsector)DLoad the Ultimate Boot CD. It will have every tool you need to set up a new drive including partitioning tools; file management utilities; RAM and HDD DIAGNOSTICS and more. Since you are familiar with a command line enviornment you should have no problems however: DISCLAIMER: The tools on this CD are indeed powerful and if used improperly may render a machine un-bootable. There, i feel better.Hmm Ok I try it. It will be a solution for my problem if this CD will work... I tried to make somethink like that Ultimate CD and it was working but if this CD work on my machine i try base on this CD to develope my own:) thanks for help ^^ edit: I've check this UBC latest version and it works on my pc but using FreeDOS but i try to extract only cdrom drivers becasue using another and try to join them with my CD... if it doesn't work I will need to re-create my CD based on FreeDOS and it will work but still is unclear for me why my drivers doesn't work...Now i'm totally confused...if the UBCD loads your CD drive is working. You don't need to install drivers at that point. Just use the utilities on the UBCD to do whatever it is you are trying to do which i'll admit i still don't know what it is nor understand it...Yep I don't need now but i want and at first want to know why it doesn't working so i will try to find answer... may all future motherboards on AM2+ socket have this problem or only 790X chipset(tommorow I am going to buy with my friend new motherboard for him on AM2+ but with chipset FX so i check it probably)... and at secound I like to create somethink my own so I will extract only cdrom drvs and on this UBC I can't run my pen drive so I will need to fix all this errors on my new BootableCD... This UBC is very good but not 100% universal but I don't wanna offtop here:P I want make somethink easlier and more universal... so i hope that now you understand. Is your CD drive SATA? If so, then the ATAPI drivers included with 98/Me startup disk won't work. Earlier UBCDs also had problems with SATA CD/DVD drives. Another option you may want to consider is BartPE or WinPE.Is not SATA, this on new UBC working good but is hard to extract only them ElTorito or smth like that... I tried to extract but is very hidden on many .bat files so I can take long time. I can't find another drivers on internet like this on UBC.Is there a reason why you absolutely need a DOS environment? If not, then use BartPE or WinPE (for the latter, drivers are FAR LESS of a pain in the neck)Is not important reason but I just want have it possible or if it's impossible just know why... I can't belive that on GB's AM2 it working all but on GB's AM2+ not. May my mb is crashed but i can't belive it before I find someone who have my motherboard and it working all. |
