Solve : Installing QuickTime?

Answer»

Hey, got a problem,

Can't install QuickTime on my computer. When I try to install it I get a message that says it is UNABLE to OPEN the following KEY:

"HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Apple Computer, Inc.\QuickTime\Installed File Types\3g2,3gp2"

and it tells me to verify that I have sufficient access to that key.

I was wondering if anyone knows how to fix the problem. Try and KEEP the answers as simple as possibel because I am not that advanced with computers.if you have itunes you can download a newer copy and install it and quick time COMES bundled in that.Yes, but if he does that, every .mov file he opens will have iTunes open as well. For this, I hate iTunes.

Get the latest version here: http://appldnld.apple.com.edgesuite.net/qtinstall.info.apple.com/mcgonagail/us/win/QuickTimeInstaller.exeTo Mr. Paul: What I am trying to do is install itunes, but I get this message when trying to do that. Therefore, since I can't install the quicktime it won't install itunes as well.

To Dillbert: When I go to the link you suggested I get the same message.
