Solve : Installing windows 7 (please help)?

Answer»

I plan on buying a dell vostro v13 and it does not have a HDD (ebay).

I want to buy this HDD along with it.

I also have a windows 7 32 install disk

My question is, is the install disk and getting a product key enough to run it?The laptop has Windows 7 drivers available so it will work. http://www.dell.com/support/home/us/en/04/product-support/product/vostro-v13/drivers

If your Windows 7 installers is a full RETAIL version with product keys, then it's just a matter of connecting the hard drive and booting your disc and doing a clean install. I am confused.

Do you Mean I have to install the drivers on a flash drive and plug it into the laptop while its booting?

Or are you SAYING DOWNLOAD those drivers after windows 7 is installed? Quote

Yes, just pasting the link for the Windows 7 drivers by Dell support site. Always start with the Intel Chipset(GS45) drivers.I just realized the laptop does not have an cd drive so I am going to have to install windows through usb.

So I just have to buy this flash drive and PASTE the data from the windows 7 installation disk right?

The most common is either from a DVD drive or from a USB flash drive.
